[[ Woops, sorry, no fourth wall breaking here! I haven’t actually heard Chie’s new English VA, but I’ll get Naoto to link me to a video later? ]]

I’m… sorry, I’m not sure what that’s supposed to mean. I suppose koolaid is okay?

[Nah its cool, I’m not really mad. It’s just the whole boycott atlus thing has put a bad taste in my mouth, and I know Nick didn’t mean it but its just… I don’t see it something being worth complaining over. I dunno I played P3FES, messed around with the battle panties or whatever for an hour, laughed and that was that.

But yeah, its cool.]

Speaking of boycott Atlus, I heard that account went on hiatus. Is that true? Someone said it was due to an insult towards a transgender.

[[ Woops, sorry to butt in, but ‘transgender’ happened and it was suddenly relevant to my interests.

What’s going on with Atlus and boycotting?

I really should keep up with the fandom more, shit. ]]

Okay, seven facts about my childhood, go!

  1. I was my parents’ second attempt at having a child, and definitely not their last. I have an older brother, Keiichi, and two younger brothers, Hidetoshi and Ichiro. I visit them every couple of weeks, more when school is out- they’re quiet, but supportive. I love them, and I know that they love me too, even if we never got a chance to meet and say it out loud.
  2. I once went to Aiya’s and ate so much steak that I got really sick just so I could stay home from school. It was right after Ichiro was born, and right before I met Yukiko.
  3. I used to get beat up a lot. Not that anyone really picked on me- I was a pretty tough girl, you know! But I had this really bad habit of stepping in when people were getting picked on, and that usually got me in a lot of trouble.
  4. My dad used to be a martial arts instructor, but he had to stop when he got into a car accident and broke his leg really badly. It never really healed right, and it still hurts him a lot of the time. He taught me a lot of what I know about fighting and defending myself to keep me from getting hurt too badly when I stuck my nose where it really didn’t belong.
  5. I named our dog Nana two days after I met Yukiko. I didn’t actually realize at the time that he was a male dog, but we didn’t change the name anyways- the poor guy must always feel so emasculated when we call him!
  6. My favorite teacher was my English teacher in the Third Grade. He had the funniest accent when he was speaking Japanese- I think he was from America, actually, but I don’t remember much about him, just that I really liked his voice.
  7. I was really afraid to wear something other than the standard uniform when I first entered Junior High, but when I saw so many other girls doing it, I decided to try it myself. I still get really surprised sometimes that I never got in trouble for it!

Haha, okay, guys. Like you all know, Yukiko-chan is my best friend- she has been since we were really small, and, to be honest, she always will be, no matter what happens! So, let’s get cracking on this.

  1. Yukiko is really pretty, like, classically pretty. She’s the kind of pretty foreigners think of when they think of Japanese women. (Hey, you didn’t say it had to be non-obvious!)
  2. I met Yukiko the day that I got my jacket! It was really big on me at the time, but I guess I lucked out because it fits me perfectly now. That was a really lucky day for me.
  3. When I met Yukiko for the first time, she was crying because there was a dog that she wanted to take care of that was homeless, but her parents wouldn’t let her! So I convinced my mom and dad to let me keep it instead. She came over every day for like, three whole years! And that’s how we became best friends.
  4. Yukiko says she doesn’t want to take over the inn. Personally, I don’t think she’d mind it at all… if she had a choice in the matter! She’s pretty strong-willed for such a quiet girl, so not having a choice always seems to grate at her nerves.
  5. Yukiko has the stupidest laugh. … Okay, so it’s really cute when she snorts like that. But still, geez, how can you find things funny that easily!?
  6. BONUS: I would do anything for Yukiko- anything at all, no matter what it was, or what the cost.

[[ Alright. My best friend is a lovely young woman who happens to play Naoto Shirogane here on tumblr- that is, fortunesrevolver! And there is a LOT about her that I could share, but I’ll do my best to limit it to five… ish?

  1. The day we first met, we had a pep rally in school. It was lame, but she was in a Sasuke cosplay and I was standing behind her. I’d seen her around and wanted a picture, so I called out “HEY SASUKE!” She turned, looked away, double-take’d, then glared like she was going to eat my soul. I slunk away as fast as I could. Later, our mutual friend Daniel introduced us, but it wasn’t until we were riding the same bus downtown several weeks later that we became fast friends- you see, we were talking about video games, and Persona 3 came up, and that was the end of that- it was just all similarities and shared interests after that.
  2. It took me a really long time to get her to trust me enough to open up to me, and sometimes we still have moments where she’ll forget that I am always here to help her, no matter what, and that will never change, no matter what it is she needs to talk to me about. But still, the first time she came to me with a problem instead of keeping it bottled up inside, I was giddily happy, and that gave me the will to keep trying to earn her trust.
  3. When I first met her, she didn’t like being touched. At all. Now, she’ll hug me willingly, and it’s just about my favorite goddamn thing. I like to take the credit for that, a lot of the time, but truth be told, she’s just come a really long way and grown into an even more amazing woman since I first met her, and I couldn’t actually be more proud of her.
  4. My favorite memory of all time, out of all of the things that have happened in my life, is the night when I spent the night at her house, and we baked a cake and sat up all night eating cake and drinking a 2-liter of soda each, while playing Fatal Frame and Resident Evil and other such really stupid, really fun games. It was only one night, but it was probably the second happiest night of my entire life.
  5. I get upset and stupid a lot of the time, and she is always there to calm me down, even if she’s busy or has to get back to me later. She never complains about me dumping my issues on her 8 million times more than she does with me, and never accepts an apology for me being stupid, because she says it doesn’t matter. She’ll always help me out with anything that I need if it’s in her power, and she is the first real friend I’ve had in my life, and no one could ever, EVER replace her.
  6. BONUS: I would do anything for her. Legitimately, if she needed me to fly to the moon and catch a shooting star, I would try. If she needed five thousand dollars, I would find a goddamn way to get my mitts on five thousand dollars to give to her. If she needed someone to drive up to where she lived just to hold her, I would do that. I will never not be there for her, no matter what is happening in her life or mine, and I will never not defend her when someone is attacking her, and I will never, ever, EVER do anything that I can concievably see hurting her. I will protect her with my life and always be by her side whenever she needs me, and even when she doesn’t. I love her, even if it as platonic as love can possibly get, and I have for years, and I always will. No matter what.

So.

< Happy Birthday! > [@bufudynechariot]

fortunesrevolver:

Almost immediately colour began to rise in Naoto’s cheeks as the gave the other female a half-hearted expression of offence. Teases had been something she’d long since grown accustomed to — especially when her closest group of friends involved people like, Rise, Yosuke, and Souji — but they still managed to have a strong effect on her. Still, despite the amount of embarrassment that generally came with their jests, the young Shirogane was grateful for them. After all, it was just a sign of how closely tied their bonds were. “Th-that’s… N-no. I’ve managed to acquire skills to make satisfactory sweets for the time being. In any case, he much prefers it when I make a full—”

It wasn’t until the words had almost finished leaving her mouth that the sleuth realised she was only incriminating herself. Fighting back the urge to sigh, she quickly picked up her pace and passed Chie to hold open the swinging kitchen door. Something in her expression changed upon the mentioning of Junes and a sparkle of amusement formed in Naoto’s eyes. If the brunette wanted to play a teasing game: ”Is that so? I have noticed you tend to spend a rather curious amount of time at Junes. I must agree, the store is a very nice one, as well as the benefit of having food there as well. However, I cannot help but notice that you seem to be more interested in a singular employee rather than any of there other services…”

Humming lightly under her breath, Naoto turned to face the kitchen and gestured to the kitchen table. Sitting upon it were plates boasting different types of steak and meat-based products, as well as a number of side-dishes that appeared to have been acquired from Aiya. “You’ve not eaten lunch yet, correct? Happy Birthday, Chie-san.”

She couldn’t help the blush that crept over her cheeks, and Chie sputtered, then scowled, though she probably couldn’t have actually been angry if she’d tried. It was just… embarrassing. It wasn’t like with Souji and Naoto, where they were so very clearly in love with one another that any teasing was almost a given to be the absolute truth anyways. She waved one hand, trying to pass off her embarrassment as cool, huffing. “It’s not my fault that he’s the only one there that actually ever knows what I’m talking about when I can’t find something. It’s like all of the other employees have a “We can’t hear you, Chie!” filter in their brains, sheesh!”

She stepped through the door that Naoto was holding open. “Be… si… des…” The words ground to a halt as she came to a standstill, eyes wide. That was… that was a lot of steak! “Wait, what?” Perplexed, she turned her gaze to Naoto, fingers pressing against her own chest in a questioning gesture. “You’re… You’re kidding me, right? I…” A slow grin began to creep across her face, and her other hand came up to the first, fingers clasping together as a completely ecstatic expression overtook the confusion.

“Thank you!” Chie couldn’t help herself- she took a step forward and threw her arms around Naoto’s shoulders, squeezing the other girl close to her in a tight hug and rubbing her cheek against the sleuth’s hat. “Thank you so much, oh my gosh, you are such a- I can’t believe you- geez!”
